The Dover Housing Authority is seeking a small volunteer group to host a Spring Ice Cream Social for our elderly and disabled residents. This event is a wonderful way to bring neighbors together, celebrate the season, and brighten the day for residents who may have limited opportunities for social outings. This small event can make a big impact. Many of our residents live alone, and opportunities for simple social gatherings like this help build community and reduce isolation.
What the Volunteers Would Do:

Help host a casual ice cream social in our community room

Serve ice cream and simple toppings to residents

Assist with light setup and cleanup

Spend time chatting and socializing with residents, maybe play a card game or two.

Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere
What We’re Looking For:

Friendly and patient personalities

Comfort interacting with elderly and disabled individuals

Ability to help serve food and assist residents if needed
