Opportunity:Signage Design, Purchase & Installation at Low-Income Elderly Housing
Date:03/18/2025 08:00 AM - 10/17/2025 04:00 PM
Agency:Dover Housing Authority
DHA is seeking support in designing, purchasing and installing signs for low-income elderly housing properties in Dover, NH: Union Court & Niles Park. Currently, these properties lack proper signage, leading to frequent issues such as lost packages, delayed medication deliveries, and confusion for visitors, emergency responders, and service providers. A well-designed and prominently placed sign would significantly improve navigation, enhance safety, and contribute to the overall well-being of the residents.
Signage is more than just a marker; it serves as an essential tool for identifying a property and fostering a sense of place and community. For many of our elderly residents, missing a package or experiencing a delay in receiving critical medication due to poor address visibility can create undue stress and hardship. Additionally, emergency responders often rely on clear signage to reach those in need as quickly as possible.
Beyond its functional benefits, a thoughtfully designed sign can beautify the area, instill pride in residents, and create a welcoming environment. Many of our residents have lived in these properties for years and deserve a well-maintained and properly identified home that reflects the care and respect they deserve. Attractive signage also enhances the overall streetscape, contributing to neighborhood identity and cohesion.
We would greatly appreciate your company's assistance in either volunteering your services or providing a grant to help cover the costs of designing, fabricating, and installing the signage. Your contribution would have a lasting impact on the community, improving daily life for residents and ensuring that these housing properties are easily identifiable for all who visit or provide essential services.
The Dover Housing Authority is committed to providing safe, affordable housing for those in need, despite working within the constraints of limited funding. We continuously seek ways to improve our properties and enhance the living conditions of our residents, and we know that this is a shared effort. We are all in this fight together, and partnerships with organizations like yours help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
We would be happy to meet to discuss the scope of the project and explore ways in which we can collaborate to make this vision a reality.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and we look forward to the possibility of working together to support the residents of Dover’s low-income elderly housing properties.
