Description

Volunteers will do grounds keeping work to beautify the NH State Veterans Cemetery. Work may include weeding, mulching, planting flowers (mostly Mums!), light digging, cleaning headstones and/or monuments, and other grounds beautification tasks. Volunteers may work independently or in small groups.

Volunteer Should Provide

Volunteers are welcome to bring their own garden gloves and/or small garden tools. Volunteers may also bring plants to add to gardens. Volunteers are encouraged to tour the Memorial Walkway, Veterans Heritage Learning Center, and any other portion of these hallowed grounds. NOTE: Volunteers are welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as desired.

Agency Will Provide

The cemetery staff will provide garden gloves, plants, mulch, small tools (shovels, rakes, etc.) and will remove refuse and rubbish. Restrooms, water, and light snacks will be available on site. Two picnic tables and many benches are available if volunteers would like to bring a lunch.
