Help spread hope this May in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month!


The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) New Hampshire Chapter is looking for caring and creative volunteers to help us set up a mental health mission moment in New Hampshire.


Volunteers will set up a resource table and "Hope Wall" at a local coffee shop or mental health organization. You will have the opportunity to connect community members to vital suicide prevention materials, hand out free mental health awareness swag, and create a space where people can share hope with one another. Supporters will be invited to add a post it note to the "Hope Wall" with positive mental health messaging, a joyful drawing, or the name of a loved one who is being honored or remembered.


All materials will be provided by AFSP.


Note: Tabling location(s) to be determined based on the location of interested volunteers.

Birchtree's spring Wellness Challenge is an annual fundraiser that promotes wellness, raises awareness about autism, and generates essential funds for Birchtree's autism programs. We will need your help in thanking our amazing donors!

 
We're looking for volunteers to assist with handwriting addresses and stuffing thank-you notes for mailing. Additionally, you will help prepare invitations for Birchtree's Benefit for Learning Auction and assist with other auction-related tasks as time permits.
 
All necessary materials, instructions, and lunch will be provided.

Join Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation for a beach cleanup at Hampton Beach, where volunteers play an active role in protecting our coastal ecosystems. During the cleanup, we will work together to remove marine debris from the shoreline while also collecting valuable data on the items we find. This data helps us better understand the types and sources of debris impacting our region and informs future conservation efforts, education, and advocacy. All ages and experience levels are welcome, and on-site training is provided. Your participation directly supports hands-on conservation and helps keep our beaches cleaner and healthier for wildlife and our community

Opportunity:Revive a Healing Garden at our Transitional Housing Site in Somersworth, NH

Community Partners owns a residence that houses a person with developmental disabilities in Somersworth. He is an avid gardener, but his garden system needs to be updated and made more accessible. The team now would like to revive and return the garden to a place of outdoor enjoyment and personal accomplishment for the individual we serve.  Please join us to create a wonderful three season outdoor experience for this gentleman who finds great joy and satisfaction in gardening. 


 


Together with our maintenance team, volunteers would assist with:



  • Removing over-growth such as weeds and small trees

  • turning and preparing the soil

  • spreading woodchips

  • repairing raised beds

  • repairing the fence

We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us beautify Ernest A. Clark Terrace in Newmarket, NH.  We would like to improve our playground area with new mulch, repaint the basketball court and plant flowers around the property. If you would like to help out with these projects, we would definitely appreciate it!  We will provide the materials if you can help with the labor part of it. We will also provide coffee/pastries in the morning, bottled water and pizza for lunch.
