Help spread hope this May in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month!
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) New Hampshire Chapter is looking for caring and creative volunteers to help us set up a mental health mission moment in New Hampshire.
Volunteers will set up a resource table and "Hope Wall" at a local coffee shop or mental health organization. You will have the opportunity to connect community members to vital suicide prevention materials, hand out free mental health awareness swag, and create a space where people can share hope with one another. Supporters will be invited to add a post it note to the "Hope Wall" with positive mental health messaging, a joyful drawing, or the name of a loved one who is being honored or remembered.
All materials will be provided by AFSP.
Note: Tabling location(s) to be determined based on the location of interested volunteers.

Join us for a hands-on Day of Caring at Camp Allen NH, a summer camp serving individuals with disabilities! Volunteers will help us transition from winter to summer operations and prepare our campus for a safe, welcoming, and joyful season.
Projects may include spreading mulch and raking; painting and refreshing cabin interiors and exteriors; cleaning cabins; sanding, staining, or painting picnic tables, benches, ramps, decks, and handrails; organizing and relocating supplies from winter storage to summer program areas; cleaning and reorganizing the sports shed and camp store; prepping raised garden beds; refreshing outdoor furniture; and general campus clean-up.
Work may involve lifting, bending, sanding, painting, organizing, and working outdoors. All skill levels are welcome, there will be a variety of projects available to match different abilities and interests.
Your time and effort directly support a safe, accessible, and fun environment for our campers. We are so grateful for your partnership in helping us get ready for an incredible summer!

Sandy has been so busy being the primary caregiver of everyone else the last three decades that she has not been able to focus on the maintenance of the exterior of her trailer. She also does not have an exterior water source that would allow someone to hook up a power washer.
We are looking for a fairy god mother with a mobile power washing service to clean this siding and slippery stairs.

Opportunity:Day of caring kit making activities

Come make small activity kits for the SEE Science center to distribute. These kits are used in many ways, we have tables for kids to create them here at SEE on busy days, and we also distribute them to things like local 21C programs and summer camps. This volunteer opportunity involves precise measuring, folding and cutting, as well as laminating and using paper punches. There are detailed directions to follow, you prepare the materials that are provided and pack them into sandwich bags with instructions on how to complete the kit. Parking at SEE is free, materials will be provided.
