 n\nA compassionate presence can make all the difference. Whether sharing st
 ories, reading aloud, playing a favorite game, or simply sitting quietly to
 gether, patient companion volunteers provide comfort, companionship, and re
 assurance to hospice patients and their families during one of life's most 
 meaningful journeys. Granite VNA is seeking caring Patient Companion Volunt
 eers to visit hospice patients in their homes, at long-term care facilities
 , and at the Granite VNA Hospice House. Volunteers offer emotional support,
  a listening ear, and a calming presence while giving family caregivers an 
 opportunity to rest or tend to personal needs. No medical or hands-on care 
 is provided—your greatest gift is simply being there.  All Patient Companio
 n Volunteers are required to complete Granite VNA's volunteer training prog
 ram before beginning visits. If you are a compassionate listener with a des
 ire to make a lasting difference, we invite you to join our hospice volunte
