 rs in your area to help provide 24-hour emergency response to local disaste
 rs, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to r
 esources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing. Are you 
 a caring individual who wants to be on the front lines of emergency support
 ? This could be a great way for you to give back to your community in a mea
 ningful way. Here is what you could do as a Disaster Action Team member: Be
 come a Red Cross Volunteer!\n\nTake requires trainings to be equipped to su
 pport families/individuals who have been displace by local emergencies incl
 uding serve stores, home fires, and more\nSign up for on-call shifts to be 
 available to respond if needed\nShow the utmost compassion and respect for 
 all clients and maintain client confidentiality\nHelp connect clients with 
 Red Cross and other responses to make sure their most basic needs are met f
 ollowing the emergency (shelter, food, clothing, medication, etc.) and help
  make referrals when Red Cross Mental Health, Spiritual Care, and Heath Ser
 vices may be needed\nConsider training to assist with larger scale national
  disasters in a variety of basic and advanced leadership roles\n\n\nIn addi
 tion to being a caring person we are seeking someone who is passionate abou
 t our Red Cross mission, has at least basic computer skills, effective comm
