 ng stories, reading aloud, playing a favorite game, or simply sitting quiet
 ly together, patient companion volunteers provide comfort, companionship, a
 nd reassurance to hospice patients and their families during one of life's 
 most meaningful journeys. Granite VNA is seeking caring Patient Companion V
 olunteers to visit hospice patients in their homes, at long-term care facil
 ities, and at the Granite VNA Hospice House. Volunteers offer emotional sup
 port, a listening ear, and a calming presence while giving family caregiver
 s an opportunity to rest or tend to personal needs. No medical or hands-on 
 care is provided—your greatest gift is simply being there.  All Patient Com
 panion Volunteers are required to complete Granite VNA's volunteer training
  program before beginning visits. If you are a compassionate listener with 
 a desire to make a lasting difference, we invite you to join our hospice vo
