Volunteers will spend the day connecting with veteran residents through conversation, companionship, and shared acts of service while honor ing the spirit of a day dedicated to remembrance, unity, and hope.\n\nMorni ng Shift (9:30 am-12 pm): Help welcome veterans to a Coffee Social, assist with transportation to and from activities, share conversation with residen ts, and attend the Home's 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony alongside them before h elping escort them back to their neighborhoods.\n\nAfternoon Shift (1:30-4 pm): Continue making a difference by assisting with afternoon recreation pr ograms and helping relocate and refill bird feeders throughout the campus, making it easier for veterans to enjoy birds and other wildlife from the co mfort of their windows.\n\nSometimes the simplest acts of service have the greatest impact.
