 nteer opportunity during the 9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance. Vo
 lunteers will help veterans participate in recreational activities, cheer t
 hem on, share conversation, and assist recreation staff in creating a fun, 
 welcoming environment where residents can connect with one another and enjo
 y the day.\n\nMorning Shift (9 am-12 pm): Volunteers will help facilitate m
 ini golf and a basketball shootout, followed by beanbag toss and balloon to
 ss. Volunteers will also assist with transporting veterans to and from the 
 Home's 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony and enjoy the ceremony alongside them.\n\n
 Afternoon Shift (1:30-3:30 pm): Continue making a difference by assisting r
 ecreation staff with additional afternoon activities and helping ensure eve
 ry veteran has the opportunity to participate and enjoy the programs.\n\nLa
 ughter, friendly competition, and shared experiences can brighten someone's
  day. By helping veterans participate in recreational activities and spendi
 ng time alongside them, you'll help create moments of joy, connection, and 
 community while honoring the spirit of the 9/11 National Day of Service & R
 emembrance.\n\nOpportunity Type: Individual and Team\nLength of Type: \nReq
 uired: Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Most importantly, br
 ing a positive attitude, a willingness to encourage others, and a desire to
